Little Miss Muffet

Little Miss Muffet
Sat on a tuffet
Eating her curds and whey
Along came a spider
Who sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away

Little Miss Tucket

Little Miss Tucket
Sat on a bucket
Eating some peaches and cream
There came a grasshopper
Who sat down beside her
But she said, Go away or I'll scream

Rain Rain Go Away

Rain, rain, go away,
Come again another day
Little Johnny wants to play

Little Jack Horner

Little Jack Horner
Sat in the corner
Eating a Christmas pie
He put in his thumb
And pulled out a plump
And said, " What a good boy am I"

Pease Porridge

Pease porridge hot
Pease porridge cold
Pease porridge in the pot
Nine days old
Some like it hot
Some like it cold
Some like it in the pot
Nine days old

Pat a cake, pat a cake

Pat a cake, pat a cake
Baker's man
Bake me a cake
As fast as you can.
Pat it, and prick it,
And mark it with T,
Put it in the oven
For Tommy and me.

Here is the temple

Here is the temple and here is the people
Open the doors and see all the people
Here is the priest going upstairs
And here he is saying his prayers

Old King Cole

Old King Cole

Old King Cole
Was a merry old soul
And a merry old soul was he?

He called for his pipe
And he called for his bowl,

(Now, if you were a King then would you call for?)

Little Tommy Tucker

Little Tommy Tucker
Sings for his supper
What shall he eat?
White bread and butter.

How will he cut it
Without a knife?

How will be.......

Simple Simon

Simple Simon met a pieman
Going to the fair
Says Simple Simon to the pieman
Let me taste your ware.

Says the pieman to Simple Simon
Show me first your penny
Says Simple Simon to the pieman
Indeed I have not any.

Simple Simon went a-fishing
For to catch a whale
All the water he got
Was in his mother's pail.

He went to catch a dickey bird
And thought he could not fail
Because he'd got a little salt
To put upon its tail

Once Simon made a great snowball
And brought it in to roast
He laid it down before the fire
And soon the ball was lost

He went for water in a sieve
But soon it all ran through
And now poor Simple Simon
Bids you all bye bye

Orange beads (Moss bag song)

Orange beads, blue beads, yellow and red.
Sew them on with a needle and thread

Sew on the beads, one by one.
I'll sew until the job is done.

Orange beads, blue beads, yellow and red.
Sew them on with a needle and thread.

Halloween spells

Pumpkin seeds and carrot tops
Bones of skeletons and warlocks mops
Ghastly howls and the screams of a troll
May you find a goblin in your cereal bowl.

Wings of bats and chicken gizzards
Eyes of snakes and tails of lizards
Navels of apes and a witch's sneeze
May all the corns from your toes reach your knees

Teeth of crocodiles and knees of goats
Tongues of frogs and warts of toads
Elbows of flies and a werewolf's fang
May bats upside down from your armpits hang

Tops of toadstools and poison oak
Goblins slippers and Dracula's cloak
A black cat's fur and roast of mutton
May tulips sprout from your belly button

Mosquito stingers and those of bees
The nips and bites of a thousand fleas
Ears of lambs and a buffalo's nose
May an army of red ants invade your toes

Zebra stripes and leopard spots
Rattlesnakes all tied up in knots
May spinach, turnip, and a lima bean
Be all you get on Halloween.

Peanut butter and Jelly: a play rhyme

Peanut butter, peanut butter, Jelly Jelly

First take the dough and knead it, knead it

Pop it in the oven and bake it, bake it

Then you take a knife and slice it, slice it

Then you take the peanuts and crack them, crack them.

Put them on the floor and mash them, mash them

Then you take a knife and spread it, spread it.

Next you take some grapes and squash them, squash them

Glop it on the brad and smear it, smear it.

Then you take the sandwich and eat it, eat it.

My Sweet Black Cat

I have a black cat.
She's shy and she's sweet.
But on Halloween night
When she walks down the street,
Everyone runs
To get out of her way.
She doesn't know why:
She's more frightened than they!

Trick or Treat rhymes

Trick or Treat, you're so neat.
I know you'll give us lots of treats.
Some nuts and candy, fruit and gum.
We'll go away after you give us some.

Trick-or-Treat, smell my feet.
Give me something good to eat.
Not too big, not to small,
Just the size of Montreal

Shell out, shell out,
The witches are out!

Making Cookies

Making Cookies

I am making cookie dough, round and round the beaters go
Pour some flour from a cup, stir and stir the batter up.
Roll them, cut them, nice and neat.
Put them on a baking sheet.
Bake them, count them 1, 2, 3
Serve them to my friends for tea.

Five Little Pumpkins

Five Little Pumpkins

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate,
The first one said,
"Oh, my, it's getting late!"
The second one said,
"There are witches in the air!"
The third one said,
"But we don't care!"
The fourth one said,
"Let's run and run and run!"
The fifth one said,
"I'm ready for some fun!"
"OOOOOOOH," went the wind
And OUT went the light.
clap on "out")
And the five little pumpkins
Rolled out of sight.
Roll hands over one another.
